About the role…

We are a small and passionate team delivering exceptional service to our guests. We are looking for an experienced, full-time (salary basis) Front Office Receptionist/Supervisor. This will be a long-term role, so if you are not planning on staying in the area for long, this role is not suitable for you.

You will be required to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm (Sunday & public holiday hours are shorter). You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the front office and will report directly to the Resort Manager. You will seek out work to do when it is quiet and not be afraid to get your hands dirty and help out with any jobs that need to be done around the resort. You will bring experience in guest services, resorts, hotels or similar operations. Good knowledge of the local area is advantageous. We require an individual with exceptional customer service skills who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure our guests have a memorable stay at Maison Noosa.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day running of the front office including open and close procedures
  • Be able to work autonomously
  • Check-in & out, guest services, tour bookings
  • Problem solving and thinking outside of the square to resolve guest issues & coordinate property maintenance as required
  • Coordinating & scheduling housekeeping teams
  • Communication with other departments and management
  • Operating a trust account, processing payments & daily banking procedures
  • Use of Resly property management system
  • Knowledge of OTA's & how to manage and maintain listings
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Exceptional communication skills, you will be the face that welcomes our guests, the voice on the phone and the person writing emails
  • High level of organization & ability to multi-task
  • Pre-arrival checks of rooms
  • Supervision of other front office staff
  • Maintain high standards of the resort

To be considered for this role you must have…

  • Minimum 1 year proven experience in a similar role
  • Willingness to work weekends & public holidays
  • Experience with Resly or other similar PMS
