About the role

This position will support the General Manager, Retail Performance & Growth in delivering the commercial retail strategy across the innovation and business development portfolio. This role is responsible for managing key retail contracts and developing and executing new initiatives and projects that enhance passenger experiences and drive revenue growth. You will be part of a high performing Commercial Retail team responsible for delivering core revenue and leading the design and execution of end-to-end strategic innovation projects and initiatives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

• Manage major retail contracts - Advertising & Media, Currency Exchange and Unattended Retail - ensuring revenue delivery, contract compliance and performance standards; conduct reviews, negotiations, renewals, and monitor performance.
• Align contracted services with airport operational requirements and passenger experience standards, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities, including potential commercial partnerships, new products/services and strategic alliances
• Lead and oversee projects related to retail innovation, from concept development to execution and performance evaluation, coordinating with various cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of initiatives.
• Monitor, evaluate and integrate emerging trends, SYD data, digital solutions and passenger preferences to enhance the customer experience
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPI's), assess and communicate the feasibility and risks of all projects/initiatives and provide regular reports and insights on project timelines and critical milestones
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities and multitask to meet deadlines

About you

You should have a proven track record in leading end to end innovation projects with a strong commercial focus & experience in contract management principles and commercial negotiation.

You'll need to demonstrate exceptional collaboration skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
