Job Description

To further develop the Customs brokerage product in the marketplace through focus on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company's policy and procedures.

This section lists job-specific tasks and duties that you are required to oversee

  • Timely and accurate classification of all customers shipments.
  • Duty deferment usage and levels.
  • Ensure all new business is transitioned correctly.
  • Make 2 face to face calls per week – Retention/Sales.
  • Compliance with government bodies and regulations.
  • Support Trade Compliance department towards their compliance efforts. 
  •  Promote productivity tools (e.g., using edoc, process management, customsware usage/Expo customs.
  • Audit of files.
  • Timely processing of refunds with customs authorities. 
  • Management of customs system.
  • Send client report requests through the available database (expo request, expo reporting)
  • Provide content for customer reviews – duty/vat,
  • Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department.  
  • Review and conduct staff appraisals and one to one meeting timely in line with the 3+1 Initiative 
  • Assist supervisor and staff with goal setting and career development.

  • 3-5 years of Customs Broker's specific knowledge
  • Or willing to be enrolled in the Customs Brokers course within 6 months of placement.
