About the Role:
As the Accounting and Business Service Coordinator, you will be the go-to person within our accounting and advisory division for both clients and colleagues. Your role will involve supporting the leaders of our business and our team of accountants with day-to-day administration duties, including scheduling, coordinating, and managing various tasks connected with taxation and business advisory services. Your efficiency and excellent time management will be instrumental in ensuring our operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Accounting and Advisory Manager.
- Serve as a point of contact for both clients and team members.
- Utilise technology and administrative skills to enhance operational efficiency.
- Resolve issues through critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to address their needs and provide updates on their work.
- Schedule meetings and appointments for clients and accounting professionals, ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Preparing forms, correspondence and other documents accurately as required in a secure and efficient manner including the use of our cloud-based software.
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients, ensuring all necessary paperwork and information are collected and processed. If unfortunately, offboarding a client ensure this task is carried out with professional and accurate processes.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, track payments where required.
- Monitor outstanding tasks and follow up with clients or internal teams to ensure timely completion of work and deadlines are met.
- Address client issues or concerns promptly
- Pro-actively managing the little things that keep the unit running smoothly.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including organising meetings, handling correspondence, collating year end and BAS work along with managing lodgement times.
- Assisting to ensure ATO correspondence is collated, reviewed and up to date.
- Assist with the overall efficient management of workflow.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a similar position essential
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ATO documents and systems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel
- Good time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Willingness to learn, be proactive and have a can-do attitude
- Ability to provide personable and quality service
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Experience using CCH Practice Management, ATOMATE and NowInfinity an advantage
- Knowledge in Xero Tax is highly regarded.
