Our small and contemporary accounting firm in Neutral Bay requires an Accountant-Operations to join our team. This is a unique and rare opportunity for an Accountant to refine and utilise their public practice experience to manage the smooth operations of the firm and provide guidance and support to the local and overseas staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a client portfolio and utilise your staff management experience.
  • Preparing and assistance with the management and organisation of data for the firms clientele including individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and SMSF.
  • Maintain your strong technical accounting, taxation and self managed super fund knowledge.
  • Develop and enhance customer relationship skills.
  • Develop and maintain strong analytical skills.
  • Be proactive and a valued contributing member of the team.
  • Be fully accountable for the opportunities being offered.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in the public practice accounting process with exposure to a number of different tax return engagements and looking to move away from solely tax return preparation.
  • Competent with current public practice Apps such as Microsoft Office, FYI, Xero, Class Super, and Business Fitness Active.
  • 2 – 5 years experience within an accounting firm environment is preferable.
  • University degree qualified.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Be self-driven, confident and have superior customer service skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have interests outside of work hours.
  • Be confident in themselves, treat others with respect, be adaptable, and be able to laugh at themselves.
