About Newcastle Master Builders Apprentices and Trainees:

Newcastle MBA offers a pathway for individuals interested in obtaining full-time employment in a high demand area while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Newcastle MBA will be your Employer for the duration of your Traineeship to handle everything administration wise and provide support and guidance while you're gaining on the job skills with a valued Host Employer.

  • Receive accurate and timely payments – MBA processes your pay, superannuation, etc.
  • Job Security – If your Host Employer runs low in work, MBA will attempt to find another Host Employer in order for you to continue and complete your Traineeship.
  • Learn from and be mentored by industry experts.
  • Don't pay, get paid – Training Fees are covered and you're paid for the time you're completing your units of competency.
  • Receive dedicated support from our staff throughout your Traineeship.

About the Host Employer/Role:

Our Host Employer is a local construction company. This role incorporates key administration tasks for the management team, assisting with accounts and payroll functions, data entry, inventory management and so much more. You would need to be professional, adaptable and able to complete tasks on request in a timely and polite manner.

During this traineeship you will gain an understanding and develop a large range of skills relating to finance and administration, communication, priorities, schedules, spreadsheets, Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) and construction terminology.

Desired Qualities:

  • Basic computer skills (inc Excel) with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of Finance and Administration.
  • Commitment to completing a 1-year Certificate III Traineeship (Online Studies).
  • Organised, hardworking, reliable and able to follow instructions.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills with the capability to ask questions when needed.
  • Has licence and own car with reliable transportation to and from Weston NSW.
