We're looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join a busy government team supporting the delivery of a standing offer arrangement. In this role, you'll manage end-to-end procurement activities with a focus on goods and services, while also supporting broader sourcing and evaluation tasks across the branch.

You'll be working with standard government procurement templates and playing a key role in ensuring probity and compliance. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, great communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the development of standing offer arrangements, including significant procurement and probity plans
  • Assist with supplier evaluation and contract negotiation processes (including ITO responses and assessments)
  • Coordinate and process day-to-day purchasing tasks using standard templates and frameworks
  • Provide admin and coordination support across procurement activities, including documentation tracking, meeting support, and general stakeholder communication
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with procurement policies

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, particularly for goods and services
  • Understanding of government procurement processes, templates, and probity requirements
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines across multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Fleet management knowledge or experience (advantageous)
