Martin Brothers is one of Queensland's leading landscape construction companies, delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, and high-end residential projects across South East Queensland. With a reputation for quality, professionalism, and attention to detail, we work with some of Australia's most respected builders and developers on projects ranging from schools and childcare centres to multi-level podium landscapes and urban precincts.
We're looking for a Procurement Officer / Contract Administrator to join our growing team — someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the commercial side of construction, and can keep multiple moving parts running smoothly between site teams, suppliers, and head contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Source, quote and procure materials, plants, and subcontractor services in line with project budgets and schedules.
- Build and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to site.
- Track material deliveries and manage procurement schedules for active projects.
Contract Administration
- Assist in preparing and reviewing subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and client documentation in line with AS4000 contract requirements.
- Review head contract conditions, drawings, and project scopes to identify risks, variations, and compliance items.
- Prepare and issue progress claims, EOTs, RFIs, and variation submissions.
- Maintain organised project records, correspondence, and cost tracking documentation.
- Liaise closely with project managers, site foremen, and the accounts team to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
Commercial Support
- Support estimating and tendering processes by sourcing supplier quotes and verifying rates.
- Monitor project budgets and assist with cost reporting and forecasting.
- Contribute to value management initiatives and procurement efficiencies across projects.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a procurement, contract administration, or project coordination role (landscape or construction industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (AS4000 or similar).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Procore, Buildxact, or similar systems advantageous.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive mindset and team-oriented attitude.
Why Join Martin Brothers
- Be part of a respected company with a strong project pipeline across SEQ.
- Work alongside a supportive, experienced team who value professionalism and growth.
- Opportunities for career development across procurement, project management, or estimating pathways.
- Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
- Modern office in Fortitude Valley with on-site parking and access to project sites throughout SEQ.
