The Opportunity Public Sector People are partnering with a State Government Department to recruit an
AO5 Project Advisor
for a long-term temporary contract through to
September 2028
.

This role is located in the Sunshine Coast.

This role is ideal for a professional with strong project administration and coordination skills, who enjoys supporting the successful delivery of significant government projects while working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities As The Project Advisor, You Will

  • Provide high-level project and administrative support to the Manager and project team
  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and track actions and decisions
  • Support risk and issue management, including the development of mitigation strategies
  • Assist with tender and procurement processes
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, and quality assurance activities
  • Prepare briefing notes, reports, and submissions
  • Undertake data analysis and project performance reporting
  • Support project health checks, contractor surveillance, and compliance monitoring
  • Provide oversight and support to project support staff when required
  • Ensure project activities align with departmental policies, guidelines, and standards

About You To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination or administration within complex environments
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in liaising with a range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Previous government or large project experience (highly regarded)
