About the role

Greyhounds Entertainment is seeking an experienced and qualified Chef/Cook to join our team in Springvale, VIC. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment catering to a diverse range of customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist with menu planning and development, contributing ideas to keep our offerings fresh and appealing
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for our patrons
  • Support the overall operations of the kitchen as required
  • Availability to work a varied roster over 7 days lunch and dinner

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in commercial cooking or a related culinary field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing a wide range of cuisines and dish types
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities to excel in a busy kitchen environment
  • Passion for using fresh, quality ingredients to create delicious, visually appealing meals
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade
  • Commitment to upholding high food safety and hygiene standards
