ABOUT THE ROLE:
Bass Coast Shire Council is seeking a dynamic Healthy & Active Living Project Lead to drive initiatives that improve health and wellbeing outcomes across our community.
This is a role with influence and reach. You will lead the delivery and monitoring of the Healthy, Safe and Resilient Bass Coast Plan 2025–2029, shaping strategies that address critical health priorities including mental health, prevention of family violence, gender equity, gambling harm, alcohol and drugs, and the needs of LGBTIQ+, CALD and refugee communities
Key responsibilities of the position include:
Working within the Connected Communities team to:
- Deliver and evaluate projects and policies that improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across community, government, and service providers.
- Provide specialist advice and advocacy on health promotion, equity, and inclusion issues.
- Analyse and respond to emerging state and federal policies that impact community health.
- Secure funding opportunities to expand and strengthen local programs.
TO BE A SUCCESS IN ROLE:
You are more than a project manager. You are a leader in community health who:
- Brings tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Health Promotion, Public Health Policy, or a related field.
- Has proven experience in health promotion and prevention initiatives.
- Understands the social determinants of health and applies evidence-based approaches.
- Excels at stakeholder engagement and collaboration across diverse sectors.
- Communicates with clarity and impact, influencing policy and practice.
- Balances strategy and detail, ensuring projects deliver measurable outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to have a tangible impact on the health and wellbeing of your community. You will be required to hold a Working with Children's check for this role.
