We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated
Electrical Engineering Technician
to join our growing team in Wonthaggi. This role plays a vital part in supporting the design, testing, and commissioning of our renewable energy systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical work, solar experience will get additive advantage.

  • Self-organising skills, able to work flexible hours and willing to travel for projects.

  • Adaptable, a team player and coachable with positive attitude.

  • Elite attitude and effective communication skills.

  • Cognisant to Quality and ensure the health and safety of working environment.

  • Project Management skill and few experience will have additional advantage.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Oversee both our in-house delivery teams, approved sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Preparing drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry.
  • Assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on substations, switchgear, cabling systems and motor control systems
  • Collecting data, performing tests and complex calculations, graphing results, and preparing charts and tabulations
  • Working on Solar Power Design tools like Pylon, Open Solar and CAD to design Solar projects as per requirement.
  • Assisting A-Grade Electrician in processes, administrative and day-to-day activities in solar installations and electrical work.
  • Responsible for project coordination, supporting the execution of multiple contracted projects from contract to completion and coordination of new projects under development.
  • Technical and problem-solving abilities (in-particular in providing guidance of best practices, installation methods and commissioning assistance to installation crews)
  • Ensure documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in-line with approved design and budgets.
  • Effectively manage WHS compliance on projects
  • Well organised and excellent time management
