About The Role As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of property services, including repairs and maintenance, to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

This is a permanent part time role - 2 days per week

Duties

Provide repairs and maintenance support to the care home across a wide scope of activities including:

  • Identify and carry out preventative maintenance, repair and improvement works to the building, grounds and equipment in-line with the Maintenance Schedules
  • Ensure the physical environment for residents is in line with their preferences and is neat, comfortable, safe and hazard free
  • Landscaping and garden maintenance; general repairs and waste removal
  • Oversee, maintain, assess and provide recommendations on replacement of assets if, and as required
  • Assist in the management of Property Services projects
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety and Property Services Quality Assurance procedures

Skills and Experience

  • Formal qualifications; and/or Relevant skills training or experience
  • Experience in Property Maintenance and Building Works
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Occupational Health and Safety
  • The ability to solve problems independently
