We are seeking a dynamic Accountant to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of financial policies related to Shared Service Center (SSC) activities.
This is an initial contract role, to commence ASAP, with a view to permanent.
As a member of the SSC GL and Financial Reporting team, this role will be a key liaison between our agency representatives and our internal team to enforce stringent financial protocols relative to the duties outlined below. SSC employees are responsible for maintaining the control environment for all agency partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness for our accounting and reporting needs.
The ideal candidate is expected to bring superior collaboration skills to the team and should be well versed in operating within an environment that prioritizes compliance and control.

What you'll do:
- Review journal entries with appropriate backup
- Prepare monthly P&L variance analysis for multiple agencies
- Propose journal entries to the Agency/Shared Service Center for review & approval
- Prepare Hyperion Financial Management walk to Microsoft D365 trial balance to ensure there are no topside entries
- Reconcile Ghost Cards, I/C, OFANZ account (In House Bank), A/R, A/P, F/A, PPD and miscellaneous other Balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile WIP/Unbilled AR/Customer Advances-create journal entries for corrections
- Review B/S reconciliation package
- Prepare all working capital schedules in Hyperion Financial Management
- Prepare Internal Reporting Package schedules in Hyperion Financial Management on a quarterly basis
- Upload Financial Reporting Package results in Hyperion Financial Management monthly
- Other duties as needed
What you've got:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance highly regarded
- CA / CPA qualifications highly regarded (or working towards this)
- D365 experience is ideal, but is not essential
- Attention to detail
- Strong interest in learning and developing
- Solid experience in collaboration, flexibility and diplomacy
- Good research and problem-solving techniques
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Confidence to ask for answers when you have questions
- Deadline/goal oriented
- Self-starter - ability to prioritize tasks with aggressive deadlines
- Ability to understand business concepts and issues as well as technical systems processes
