Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join their project delivery team. This role will see you play a pivotal part in supporting Project Managers and State Managers across high-quality commercial and industrial construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective administration of contracts, oversight of subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to client expectations. You'll also manage financial control, project reporting, and ensure compliance with all contractual and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in project handovers to understand scope, budgets, risks, and documentation needs.
  • Prepare and issue tender packages, review submissions, and negotiate subcontract agreements.
  • Maintain registers for variations, EOTs, RFIs, progress claims, and other contract documentation.
  • Administer head contract requirements including progress claims, notices, variations, and final accounts.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Manage subcontractor payment claims, supplier invoices, and ensure compliance with the Security of Payments Act.
  • Assist Project Managers with monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and cashflow analysis.
  • Ensure HSEQ requirements are embedded in all scopes and documentation.

About You

  • 2-3 years' experience as a Contract Administrator in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Building, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying (or working towards).
  • Strong knowledge of contract terms, building principles, and project delivery methods.
  • Experience using online project management systems (e.g., Procore, CHEOPS).
  • Excellent numerical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Current driver's license preferred.
