Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join a commercial construction team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for high-value construction projects ranging from $20-50 million. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring project success through effective planning, monitoring, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Management
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard software
- Implement high-level controls to monitor project progress and identify potential delays
- Collaborate with project teams to update schedules and incorporate changes as needed
Reporting Analysis
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing project status, milestones, and key metrics
- Analyze schedule data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
Client and Tenant Communication
- Assist in preparing and delivering schedule-related communications to clients and tenants
- Respond to inquiries and provide timely updates on project timelines and milestones
Project Controls
- Implement and maintain project control systems to track progress, costs, and resources
- Identify and analyze variances between planned and actual performance
- Recommend corrective actions to address schedule deviations
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Senior Project Manager to align scheduling efforts with overall project goals
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to project timelines
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in scheduling within a commercial construction environment
- Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
