Project Scheduler
Are you passionate about planning, precision, and performance?
CS Energy is seeking a Project Scheduler - a detail-oriented professional who ensures that every milestone, deadline, and deliverable aligns perfectly to power Queensland's energy future.
This is your opportunity to work at the heart of major infrastructure delivery - developing and maintaining project schedules that enable safe, efficient, and successful outcomes across our capital project portfolio.
About the Role
As Project Scheduler, you'll play a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time and to plan.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you'll develop, maintain, and monitor detailed schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Your expertise in planning and critical path analysis will help identify risks early, optimise delivery strategies, and ensure all stakeholders have the clarity and confidence to execute effectively.
You'll be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining accurate project schedules for multiple capital projects.
- Monitoring progress, identifying potential delays, and recommending corrective actions.
- Preparing and distributing regular schedule performance reports and look-ahead plans.
- Integrating inputs from project teams, contractors, and site operations into a unified master schedule.
- Supporting governance processes by providing clear, data-driven schedule insights.
- Conducting schedule risk analysis and scenario modelling to support contingency planning.
- Driving consistency and improvement in planning tools, templates, and processes across CS Energy's delivery portfolio.
This Brisbane-based role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to visit operational sites across Queensland.
About You
You're a natural planner who thrives on structure and accuracy, with an ability to see the bigger picture.
With strong analytical capability and communication skills, you turn complex project data into clear insights that drive decisions and results.
You'll bring:
- Formal training or certification in Project Scheduling, Project Controls, or Planning.
- Approximately 5 years or more of experience in scheduling or project controls within energy, utilities, mining, infrastructure or similar capital-intensive sectors.
- Hands-on experience using scheduling software for schedule development and progress tracking.
- Solid understanding of critical path method (CPM), earned value management (EVM), and schedule risk analysis.
- Experience working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site teams.
- A proactive approach to identifying risks, analysing scenarios, and improving systems and processes.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline are desirable, as are certifications such as PRINCE2, PMI-PMP, or AIPM.
