Role Overview:
We're seeking a proactive and detail-driven Planner & Scheduler to join our Brisbane team.
This role is central to planning and scheduling our events and exhibitions across Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. You'll work closely with our National Operations Team to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed schedules for exhibitions and events across multiple cities.
- Coordinate logistics with warehouse, transport, site teams, and suppliers.
- Integrate OH&S protocols into all planning activities, including SWMS and Safe Work Procedures.
- Maintain and update the Skill Matrix for operational staff to ensure competency alignment.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to plan bump-in/bump-out phases and resource allocations.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes or delays.
OH&S & Compliance
- Ensure all planning complies with Moreton Hire's WHSE Management Plan and relevant state legislation.
- Embed Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) into job planning.
- Liaise with site supervisors to ensure risk controls are implemented and reviewed daily.
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Staff & Skills Coordination
- Maintain and update the Skill Matrix to match job requirements with staff competencies.
- Coordinate staff allocations based on availability, qualifications, and project needs.
- Support onboarding and training of new staff in safety and operational procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in scheduling, logistics, or operations planning within events, exhibitions, or construction.
- Strong understanding of OH&S principles and documentation (SWMS, SWP).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet, MS Projects, or similar).
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
