As our organisation grows, we're looking for a driven, experienced, and NDIS-savvy Business Development & Engagement Officer to take the lead in growing our referral pathways, building relationships, and converting conversations into meaningful client engagement.

About the Role

This is not just another admin or marketing job. We're seeking someone who understands the NDIS landscape and knows how to build real-world connections that turn into results. You'll be responsible for identifying referral opportunities, managing relationships, making follow-up calls, converting leads into service agreements, and working on strategic initiatives that support growth.

This is a people-facing, hands-on, outcome-driven role based at our Bundoora office, working closely with the Director and internal team.

Key Responsibilities in the Role

Strategy & Outreach

  • Understand Wise Healthcare's service offerings, strengths, and target audience
  • Contribute to and implement outreach strategies to increase referrals and brand visibility
  • Identify key networks, referrers, and opportunities across the NDIS space
  • Track, measure and report on growth, outreach activities, and conversions

Cold & Warm Calling + Lead Conversion

  • Follow up with leads from events, social media, email campaigns, and networks
  • Make proactive phone calls to Support Coordinators, LACs, providers, or participants
  • Convert conversations into signed service agreements and active supports
  • Maintain a professional and helpful tone while meeting targets

CRM & Task Management

  • Update Zoho CRM or Brevity with contact information, notes, and status updates
  • Create task lists, reminders, and pipelines for ongoing follow-up
  • Segment and manage leads by region, service type, and stage of engagement

Events, Partnerships & Community Engagement

  • Organise and attend NDIS networking events, expos, and meetups
  • Represent Wise Healthcare professionally in the community
  • Build partnerships with Support Coordinators, allied health professionals, and key organisations
  • Help filter opportunities that align with our values and service capacity

Innovation & Marketing Collaboration

  • Work with leadership on new initiatives, flyers, campaigns, or engagement experiments
  • Suggest and test creative ways to increase referrals and client retention
  • Collaborate on content ideas, outreach emails, or feedback loops from stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in business development, engagement, sales, or partnerships
  • Prior understanding or direct experience in the NDIS or allied health sector (Essential)
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident with phone-based outreach (cold and warm)
  • Organised and proactive with strong follow-through
  • CRM experience and basic admin skills (training provided)
