Business Development Manager – Victoria

At Nextt, we believe everyone deserves the chance to live safely and independently in their own home. But too often, people with disability are stuck in hospital beds or unsuitable accommodation because the right supports aren't in place. That's where you come in.

We're looking for a Business Development Manager who knows how to open doors, build trust, and connect referral partners with solutions that make a real difference. You'll drive growth across Melbourne (North, East, South) by developing referral pathways with hospitals, Support Coordinators, and SDA/SIL providers, and by showing families that Nextt can be the partner they can rely on.

Every week, hospital social workers, Support Coordinators, and families face the same challenges:

  • Clients waiting weeks in hospital because there's no safe discharge option.
  • Families feeling let down by providers who can't deliver reliable support.
  • SIL and SDA providers struggling to fill vacancies with the right participants.
  • Your role is to solve these problems

You'll identify opportunities, build referral networks, and position Nextt as the provider that delivers:

  • Fast, centralised onboarding so clients don't wait.
  • Clinical oversight and governance for safe, goal-focused supports.
  • Housing solutions that are available, NDIS-approved, and matched for long-term stability.

What You'll Do

  • Drive growth by building strong relationships with hospital social workers, Support Coordinators, SDA/SIL providers, and families.
  • Develop and document referral pathways, particularly in hospital discharge.
  • Nurture leads from first call through to service commencement.
  • Manage your pipeline with a balance of inbound responsiveness and proactive outbound activity.
  • Collaborate with our support network (intake, onboarding, scheduling, quality, behaviour practitioners) so you can focus on building relationships and closing growth opportunities.
  • Lead tenders, contribute to national growth strategy, and represent Nextt at events and networking opportunities.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines sales hunger with genuine care for outcomes. You're not afraid to pick up the phone, walk into a hospital, or sit down with a family and ask the hard questions.

  • Proven track record in business-to-business sales – ideally in the NDIS, health, disability, or aged care sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the hospital discharge process and the NDIS funding environment.
  • Ability to reinvent your pitch depending on who's in front of you.
  • Commercially savvy – you know how to turn opportunities into sustainable growth.
  • Resilient, responsive, and driven to hit targets – but always with integrity and a client-first mindset.
  • Willing to learn and adapt
