As we continue to grow, we're seeking a capable and motivated Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our  Leadership Team in Cairns and play a key role in guiding our next stage of growth.

The Role

As CFO, you'll be responsible for the integrity of our financial systems, delivering accurate reporting, and providing the insights that shape strategic and commercial decisions.

You'll oversee all aspects of finance, lead and develop a small but capable team, and partner with the Managing Director and the Management Team to ensure the business is set up for both performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital and financial risk.
  • Supervise accounts payable, receivable, payroll and compliance functions.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain robust systems, processes and controls.
  • Mentor, coach and grow the finance team.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and statutory obligations.

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (CFO, Financial Controller or similar).
  • CPA/CA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, with hands-on experience.
  • Commercially astute, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Confident working at both strategic and operational levels.
  • A collaborative leader who can inspire and develop a team.
  • Process-driven, with a knack for improving systems and efficiency.
