We are currently recruiting for an ETO to join our team at the Bauxite Hills project, Skardon River, North Queensland.

This is FIFO position on a 2:2 roster for someone that ideally lives in Queensland.

About the Role:

The Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all electrical systems on the floating crane, tug, and barge fleet. This includes overseeing electrical maintenance and repairs for deck machinery, coordinating closely with the Chief Engineer, and effectively utilising onboard personnel from both the Deck and Engine departments.

The ETO is also resposible for:

  • Ensuring that the vessel's machinery spaces, are maintained and operated in accordance with the terms of reference laid down in the Chief Engineer's Standing Orders
  • Maintaining and servicing the onboard machinery equipment whilst on duty watch as allocated in the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), ensuring the efficient and readiness of all systems onboard
  • Working with the Chief Engineer to ensure all PMS tasks of the Vessel are completed on time in relation to -

-    Critical Spares - Electrical

-    HVAC Systems

-    Batteries

-    ER and accommodation alarm systems.

-    Galley equipment.

-    Fire detection system.

-    All level alarm monitoring. (bilges, tanks etc)

-    Main switchboard and all distribution boards

-    Electrical register

-    Engineering history – Electrical

-    Crane checking - Electrical

-    Critical spares - Electrical

-    Crane consumables - Electrical

-    Recommended Spares - Electrical

  • Administration of PMS tasked administered
  • Organisation of electrical stores
  • Vessel defects register

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Electro-technical Officer Certificate of Competency
  • Certificate of Safety Training (CoST / STCW 95)
  • 303 AMSA medical
  • Prior expereince in a similar role
  • Trade qualification
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space Entry
  • ARC licence
