Are you ready to make your mark at the heart of Queensland's visitor economy?

QTIC is seeking an experienced, strategic and hands-on General Manager – Finance & Governance to lead our financial operations and enable the delivery of programs that shape the future of tourism in Queensland.

In this elevated role, you will partner directly with the CEO and Executive Team to provide accurate, timely, and decision-ready insights that strengthen our resilience, drive operational excellence, and support projects spanning workforce development, capability uplift, First Nations tourism, and major events.

About the Role

As a key member of QTIC's leadership team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing end-to-end financial control and reporting
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow strategy
  • Overseeing grants, contracts, and audit-ready acquittals
  • Driving policy and internal control improvements
  • Supporting diversified revenue through commercial insights
  • Serving as QTIC's liaison to the Audit & Risk Committee

You'll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Mastery in accounting and bookkeeping for NFPs or SMEs
  • Confidence producing board-level reports and grant acquittals
  • A sharp eye for process improvement and policy uplift
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
  • A collaborative, stakeholder-focused approach

CPA/CA qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
