Client Engagement Specialist

Location: Townsville

Contract: 9-Month Contract (with opportunity for extension)

At NQ Quality Care, we are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals living with disabilities. We work closely with participants, families, and stakeholders to empower people to live fulfilling and independent lives. We are currently seeking a dedicated Client Engagement Specialist to join our team on a 9-month contract, with the potential for extension.


About the Role

As a Client Engagement Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring participants receive tailored, person-centred support. You will build strong relationships with participants and families, oversee care planning, and coordinate services to ensure individual needs and goals are met. This role combines care planning, advocacy, and compliance, ensuring high-quality outcomes for participants.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to participants with diverse and complex needs.
  • Collaborate with participants, families, and stakeholders to develop, review, and maintain personalised care and support plans.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, support workers, and external providers to coordinate seamless service delivery.
  • Promote choice, control, and independence in participants' daily lives.
  • Monitor participant progress and wellbeing, addressing concerns and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Track participant expenditure against funding allocations as per the NQ Quality Care Schedule of Supports.
  • Conduct reviews of communication notes, incident reports, hazards, and complaints, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up.
  • Ensure services are delivered safely, respectfully, and in line with professional boundaries and industry practice standards.

About You

You are a compassionate and organised professional who is passionate about making a difference. You bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with participants, families, and team members.

Essential Criteria

  • Certificate IV in Disability (or equivalent).
  • Experience in disability, community, or health services.
  • Knowledge of person-centred care and support principles.
  • Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Current Driver's Licence, car registration, and insurance.
  • Proof of working rights (birth certificate, passport, or visa).

Desirable

  • Experience in client engagement, care coordination, or a similar role.
  • Strong background supporting participants with complex care needs.
