Your role includes:

  • Facilitate reflective practice, clinical supervision, and post-incident debriefing.
  • Support the implementation of the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) framework.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen placement stability and permanency outcomes.
  • Contribute to program design, quality improvement, and HSQF compliance.
  • Deliver training, mentoring, and professional development sessions for staff.
  • Support a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment for all children and young people.
  • Travel between residential care homes and regional locations as required to provide direct clinical support, supervision, and team consultation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor or higher qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (AHPRA, AASW, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience providing therapeutic support to children and young people with complex trauma.
  • Experience delivering consultation, supervision, or training to staff teams.
  • Familiarity with Queensland's child protection and out-of-home care frameworks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage across diverse communities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence managing documentation systems.
  • Current Blue Card, National Police Check, First Aid and CPR certification, Traffic History Report, and open QLD Driver's Licence.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate or citizenship certificate) or VISA if applicable.
  • Current QLD Open Driver's License.

  • Hold a current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate.
  • A clean National Police check less than 6 months old.
  • PeakCare Training Certificates: Hope and Healing for Residential Care, Positive Behaviour Support & Managing High Risk Behaviours, Water Safety Awareness
