The Senior Client Data Officer will be responsible for the creation of reports from client system databases. You will undertake continuous improvement reviews and liaise with system providers to ensure the functionality of the system to provide reports to meet the requirements of services provided by Centacare NQ. The Snr Client Data Officer provides clear policy/procedures and user training for systems.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • To collaborate with leaders and management to determine short and long-term data collection needs and appropriate data resources
  • Support the formulation, implementation, and skill development in staff to ensure appropriate data collection policies and procedures.
  • Train and educate all users on data collection systems and procedures.
  • Establish data quality standards and work with management teams and/or external stakeholders to ensure standards are met.
  • Ensure quality data collection techniques are established for reporting.
  • Maintain expertise in Centacare North Queensland data management systems including but not limited to internal client data bases and national reporting databases such as DEX.
  • Ensure data systems are operational, accessible and current.
  • Provide issue resolution to end users.
  • Perform and document procedures for data preparation including data cleansing, data mining, standardisation and analysis.
  • Develop data collection and evaluation methodologies, in collaboration with management and senior leadership as required.
  • Support the implementation of security and compliance integration methodology related to data collection storage and reporting.
  • Research and implement system integrations that are beneficial to overall data storage or reporting.
  • Understand and support the implementation of relevant compliance standards associated with privacy, data collections and storage and reporting in collaboration with the management and senior leadership group.
  • Evaluate current systems to improve operations and reporting.
  • Maintain close working relationships with third party system providers and software vendors.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in the areas of data management, service performance monitoring in a social services context
  • Possession of qualifications relevant to the social services field
  • Knowledge and experience managing complex database systems
  • High level communication skills both verbally and written
  • Ability to prioritise, set deadlines and operate independently
  • Ability to rapidly understand, interpret and respond to data needs of the organisation and provide reports to senior leaders and managers.
