About the role:

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Development Manager to join a highly respected property developer with an ambitious growth agenda. This role has been created to support the company's strategic plan, including expanding a pipeline of Build-to-Rent (BTR) and Build-to-Sell (BTS)projects and to provide leadership across both new acquisitions and delivery.

Working closely with Directors, the Head of Capital, and JV partners, you'll be responsible for sourcing and securing new sites, progressing planning and approvals, and overseeing the delivery of large-scale residential projects from feasibility through to construction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, assess, and secure new development opportunities, including feasibility modelling, due diligence, and financial analysis.
  • Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle: acquisitions, town planning, design, marketing, construction, and settlement.
  • Lead consultants, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with quality, ESG, and sustainability standards.
  • Mentor and support junior development staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Provide accurate reporting, including feasibility updates, budgets, cashflows, PCG reports, and risk analysis.
  • Partner with capital and finance teams on structuring, funding and JV arrangements.

About you:

We are seeking a driven and collaborative property professional with the ability to take ownership of complex, large-scale residential or mixed-use projects. You may currently be a Development Manager looking to step up, or an experienced Senior DM seeking a new challenge.

Essential skills & experience include:

  • Demonstrated track record in managing medium-to-large scale residential projects (minimum ~$70m GRV).
  • Strong experience in front-end development: acquisitions, feasibilities, planning approvals, and early-stage project structuring.
  • Understanding of construction and delivery, with ability to manage contractors, consultants, and design teams.
  • Tertiary qualifications in property, construction, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong commercial acumen, communication, and leadership skills.

This is a hands-on role in a collaborative, office-based environment. Incentives are based on performance and delivering outcomes, with future growth opportunities as the team expands.
