Overview
We're seeking a highly skilled and passionate leader who'll be tasked with guiding our Social Media Department to new heights, bringing the vision to life. Partnering with the Head of Digital and Social, this role is pivotal in shaping and implementing both organic and paid social media strategies for our diverse client portfolio. A specialist in social-first approaches and data-led creativity, ensuring that activities are not only engaging but also backed by insightful analytics.
As our Social Strategist you'll be heavily involved in managing the team and driving innovation, staying ahead of industry trends, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the realm of Social.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and mentoring a dedicated team of social specialists, providing mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities
- Driving collaboration with internal and external media, strategy and creative teams
- Working closely with platform, data, and industry partners to ensure the smooth execution of social media campaigns
- Being our client's go-to for thought leadership and expertise within the social landscape
- Influencing creative and strategy teams to create innovative, best-in-class social content
- Driving the implementation and execution of both organic and paid social activities, content calendar delivery, paid social execution, and detailed reporting
- Overseeing our efforts in fostering and building strong and engaged communities for our clients
- Using analytical thinking and data-driven insights to optimise social activities and provide valuable recommendations
- Continually fostering a growth mindset among both teams and clients
- Initiating regular knowledge-sharing sessions to keep the team updated on industry trends and emerging strategies
What You Can Bring
- 6+ years experience in social media strategic planning and management
- Strong leadership skills with a record of building, mentoring and leading high-performing teams
- Demonstrates a proven track record in developing and implementing successful social strategies and communities
- Experience driving highly creative and socially driven campaigns
- Strong understanding of best practices for all existing and emerging social platforms
- Familiarity with online analytical tools and social scheduling applications, such as Emplifi, Brandwatch, and Google Analytics
- In-depth expertise in interactive media planning and buying, with a focus on social media platforms
- Features strong analytical skills and experience in using data and metrics to guide marketing strategies and decisions
- Able to facilitate workshops and collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders
- Experienced in working closely with world-class/world-class brands and clients, understanding their business needs, and delivering tailored social media solutions is highly preferred
- Passionate about staying current with or early adopting social media, PR and digital trends, channels, and best practices
- Previous agency experience is highly valued, providing an understanding of the unique dynamics and pace of agency work
