**About The Role**:
As a part of the Public Markets team, you will focus on the development and maintenance of analytical infrastructure supporting these varied activities. Working with senior team members, you will also participate and assist in all areas of multi-asset class portfolio management including capital markets analysis, and strategic and opportunistic investment strategies. An awareness of the private markets portfolios is also required within the context of reviewing portfolios from a Total Portfolio Approach (TPA).
The role encompasses assisting in the management, research and portfolio construction of State Investments public markets portfolios, which includes equities, fixed interest, absolute return strategies, currency and cash. Research and implementation of ESG considerations across the broader portfolio is also a key focus. Other key accountabilities include:

- Assist with investment strategy research and manager selection processes
- Monitoring of managers, including of ESG related metrics
- Contribute to the development of new analytical infrastructure and the maintenance of existing
- Assist in preparation of detailed client papers and reports as required including performance reporting
- Understanding client requirements and sensitivities
- Participate with senior team members in developing Strategic Asset Allocations (SAA) and portfolio solutions for clients
- Assist in portfolio rebalancing and managing cash flows
- Keep abreast of trends in ESG and socially responsible investing including implications for capital markets research and portfolio construction considerations
- Keeping abreast of academic research and develop knowledge of best practice asset management techniques across public and private markets, with an emphasis on public markets
- Assist with research projects in relation to existing and new investments
- Frequently observe international economic and financial market developments, specifically with respect to developments that will have an impact on portfolios across all asset classes
- Work collaboratively with QIC internal teams in the development of research and investment initiatives that can be communicated, both internally and externally

**About You**:
You will bring strong quantitative skills from prior analytical roles supporting public market and/or multi asset portfolios
You will have an understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation. Your ability to undertake basic coding and operate risk systems is a bonus. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will see you thrive. You will also:

- Excel in time management skills and be able to meet multiple deadlines
- Have strong attention to detail and ability to cast a critical eye over all work
- Self-motivated and a strong desire to develop and grow
- Ability to work independently when allocated a task, seeing this through to completion
- Keenness to understand QIC clients with a view to becoming a client facing role within State Investments
- Collaboration within the State Investments team and broadly across QIC teams
- work with junior resources (Graduates/Interns) and assist with on the job development and mentoring
- Engage in and lead research projects as directed
