CA/CPA (Risk & Audit Specialist)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CA/CPA professional with proven expertise in Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Compliance. The role will be responsible for providing independent assurance, evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and supporting governance frameworks to safeguard the organisation's assets and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across business units.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management practices.
  • Develop, recommend, and monitor risk mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Support statutory and external audit processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Conduct operational, financial, IT, and compliance audits, highlighting opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design and strengthen risk management frameworks (ERM).
  • Prepare and present clear audit reports and risk dashboards to executive management and audit committees.
  • Stay updated with emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
  • Provide advisory support on cybersecurity, data governance, and information security risks (where applicable).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
  • 5–8 years of experience in Audit, Risk Advisory, or Internal Controls (Big 4 or corporate environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX, Basel III, COSO, ISO 31000 or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), internal audit methodologies, and compliance programs.
  • Exposure to IT Audit / Cybersecurity risk will be an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage)
  • CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
  • CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance)
  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
  • FRM / CFA (for financial risk focus)
