About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Bookkeeper / Office All-Rounder to join their Melbourne CBD office. The successful candidate will be process-driven and highly organised. Happy to be managing all day-to-day bookkeeping and office tasks with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and monthly payroll.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and BAS lodgements
  • Assist with end-of-financial-year processes (journal entries provided by accountant)
  • Prepare and track Excel-based reports, including formulas and VLOOKUPs.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in MYOB.
  • Learn and use Total Synergy software (training provided)
  • Cover invoicing when the Admin Manager is away.
  • Maintain office upkeep and general administrative tasks.
  • Order stationery and supplies as required.
  • Answer phones and handle reception duties when needed.
  • Support the team with a "no job too small" mindset.

About You

  • Methodical, process-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Background in construction, engineering, or architecture preferred but not essential.
  • Qualifications: Certificate IV in Accounting or master's in accounting
  • Comfortable working in-office full-time, with limited hybrid flexibility post-probation

  • Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Probation period: 4 months. Hybrid: 1 work-from-home day per week after probation (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday only)
  • Friday drinks: Occasionally
