We're looking for someone who is:

· Sharp-eyed with impeccable attention to detail

· Confident asking questions and digging deeper when something doesn't add up

· Precise, organised, and thorough in everything they do

· Proactive and logical in problem-solving

· Curious, methodical and not afraid to challenge when needed

The role? Chief Number Whisperer / Ledger Legend / Director of Dollar Decisions … aka Bookkeeper.

Day-to-day, you'll be across:

· Accounts Payable & Receivable

· Payroll

· BAS Review & Reporting

· Xero (all of it)

· Reconciliations that actually reconcile

· Spotting opportunities and helping clients stay one step ahead

Bookkeeping CoLab is a tight-knit team that values curiosity, clarity and collaboration. You'll get flexibility to work from home, but you MUST be Melbourne-based looking for 10-20hrs per week.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A quiet, private workspace with a secure internet connection (essential).
  • We will provide you with a company laptop and dual screens.
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (essential).
  • At least 2+ years bookkeeping and payroll experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Accounts Payable Management (knowledge with Dext an advantage
  • Advanced Xero skills (essential). MYOB experience (highly regarded).
  • Exceptional organisational skills — able to manage multiple clients with varying needs and deadlines (essential).
  • A client-first mindset, positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a collaborative team and autonomously
  • Confidence with technology, apps, and learning new systems.
