About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Credit Manager to join Award Mortgage. This role will be instrumental in managing and overseeing credit-related processes within our mortgage business. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Mortgage Business CEO to liaise with mortgage lenders (primarily based in Sydney), support brokers, and may lead a small team to ensure compliance with Australian mortgage industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including lenders, brokers, and internal teams.
  • Deliver end-to-end support throughout the loan lifecycle, including document collection, timeline communication, and guiding clients through the approval process.
  • Assist the Mortgage Business CEO in engaging with mortgage lenders.
  • Liaise with brokers, addressing issues encountered after loan applications are submitted, and providing effective solutions.
  • Lead and manage a small team responsible for credit assessment, ensuring adherence to credit policies and compliance with Australian mortgage regulations.
  • Conduct in-depth credit analysis and risk assessment, making data-driven recommendations to improve credit approval processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying workflow efficiencies, credit policy enhancements, and team development opportunities.

Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in mortgage credit analysis, with a strong understanding of mortgage lending and credit knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written).
