Your new role

We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer (Temporary) to cover leave for approximately 2 months.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing development and subdivision drawings and coordinating feedback across departments.

  • Providing technical engineering advice on Development Applications.

  • Conducting inspections and issuing compliance reports.

  • Advising on engineering assessments and Council policies.

  • Attending site meetings and pre-start inspections.

  • Managing customer requests and complaints via the CRM system.

  • Supporting the Development & Transport team and Asset Manager.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in traffic or civil engineering within a local government context.

  • Strong understanding of development assessment and subdivision processes.

  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, standards, and council policies.
