About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Traffic Engineer
to lead and manage local subcontractors and traffic management suppliers, ensuring performance outcomes and delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic management, with experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing traffic switches, road access, and stakeholder access arrangements.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing traffic management plans in accordance with VicRoads / DoT Victoria standards from concept through to completion.
Communicating with DoT Victoria, VicRoads, councils, and stakeholders to deploy project traffic changes.
Preparing comprehensive weekly, monthly, and milestone reports, including cost management, progress analysis, and recommendations.
Providing technical leadership to site teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Managing procurement, resources, and budgets within the traffic management scope.
Ensuring quality management, documentation, and compliance with Victorian traffic standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
Senior-level traffic management experience in construction / infrastructure.
Comprehensive knowledge of Victorian traffic management standards and VicRoads / DoT Victoria protocols.
Extensive experience with major infrastructure projects, preferably rail or transportation.
Proven leadership abilities and stakeholder management across all levels.
Advanced problem-solving capabilities in dynamic construction environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports and executive briefings.
