We are seeking an experienced Transportation Modeller to join our team. As a key member of our dynamic and growing team, you will be responsible for developing, calibrating, and applying transport models used in the assessment of infrastructure design solutions, transport policy options, and economic appraisals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply transport models to assess infrastructure design solutions, transport policy options, and economic appraisals;
- Prepare detailed transport modelling and traffic engineering reports;
- Plan, programme, and coordinate own workload to deliver agreed outputs on time, to specified quality standards;
- Manage or assist in projects involving the development, review, and presentation of plans, policies, and submissions for clients as required;
- Assist project managers with planning, programming, and coordination to ensure that project outputs meet or exceed agreed goals;
- Deliver project scope, including assessments and report writing;
- Provide assistance to project managers and senior technical personnel during meetings with team members and clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of transport modelling and transport planning practices;
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or comparable qualification);
- Minimum 4 years professional experience in the consulting and engineering industry post-graduate;
- Experience using transport modelling software such as SIDRA and Aimsun;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Good ability to interpret and understand information delivered in a variety of forms;
- Ability to work under pressure, show initiative, prioritise, and schedule work as required;
- Knowledge of Quality, OHS, and environmental compliance requirements;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
