Assistant Contract Advisory Officer

  • Ongoing Full-Time opportunity in a supportive and high performing team
  • Location: Parramatta – Flexible working arrangements, with alternative days at both the Parramatta and Eveleigh Office's as required.

About the role

The Assistant Contract Advisory Officer role is responsible for providing support in contract advisory services to a range of internal and external stakeholders. The role involves managing procurement needs while ensuring compliance to departmental policies and procedures. The responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking basic contract analysis and providing accurate information in a timely manner, to support decision-making.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide support and guidance on contract arrangements in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and maintain updates of contract records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies, to ensure that all contract information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
  • Assisting in preparing reports and documentation to meet compliance and reporting needs.

About you

  • Experience in procurement and contract management
  • Ability to manage competing demands in tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to work effectively with a range of customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and cloud-based collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint)
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
