About the role

We're looking for a Design Coordinator to manage the implementation of BIM processes and technologies throughout the design phase of our construction projects. You'll work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure effective collaboration and seamless integration of BIM models throughout the construction phase of the project. You'll be responsible for:

  • Assist in managing the design process and ensure all operational design functions are maintained efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project and design teams to ensure client brief and design intent is met.
  • Assist Project Teams to identify opportunities for up-scoping, value-engineered designs and profit improvement throughout the concept and design phase.
  • Develop and maintain BIM environment for the modular, including establishing BIM implementation strategies, standards, and protocols for design activities, and oversee their adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with our Key Suppliers to consider alternatives and materials as part of the project specification.
  • Develop and maintain client and consultant relationships.

About you

  • Experience in a similar role (or a genuine passion to learn on the job)
  • A degree or diploma in a building, construction or architectural field.
  • Ability to build and maintain great relationships
  • Proficient drafting capabilities in BIM software platforms such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other related tools.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, construction methodologies, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Understanding of specifications and drawings for accuracy and buildability
  • Sound knowledge of EHSQ principles
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Good grasp of MS Office, including Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and InDesign would also be handy.
