Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is seeking an experienced IT PMO Lead to drive excellence in project delivery across its global IT portfolio. This pivotal role will establish and lead a standardised Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring governance, transparency, and consistency across all IT programs. You'll be instrumental in aligning delivery with strategic investment plans, managing risks, and enhancing reporting and resource management.

Start Date: Immediate

Engagement Type: Contract – Initial 12-week engagement

Hybrid Working Model: Enjoy the flexibility of both on-site (Melbourne CBD) and remote work

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the PMO function, ensuring compliance with governance, reporting, and risk management standards.
  • Establish and continuously improve PM frameworks, tools, and procedures.
  • Provide oversight across IT projects and programs to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Track and report on portfolio health, risks, dependencies, and KPIs.
  • Manage complex program schedules, interdependencies, and milestone tracking.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting including financials and executive-level updates.
  • Support change control, document management, and program registers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive delivery outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Scrum Master.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in IT project/program management, including 3–5 years in a PMO leadership role.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and SAP
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex IT portfolios.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in global, multicultural environments.
