Driving an agenda of growth and transformation, IMB is committed to delivering on its Business Banking expansion strategy.  To help us achieve our goals, we are looking to appoint a Commercial Credit Assessor to our Credit Assessment team who has experience in a commercial/business banking credit environment along with exposure to home loan lending.

The Commercial Credit Assessor will play an important role in supporting IMB's Business Bankers and Lenders across IMB's distribution channels in the structuring of credit worthy mortgage and commercial deals.  Applying effective analysis, assessment and decisioning of loans within Delegated Lending Authority for new to bank and existing customers across a small to medium size portfolio, the Commercial Credit Assessor will monitor and keep all parties up to date on progress through to settlement, with timely reporting and information.

This is an ideal role for an experienced Credit Assessor/Business Banker holding a delegated authority, who feel they have more to offer through years of knowledge and experience in business banking and credit.  As such, we will look to our new team member to mentor and coach to lift the knowledge and capability across the assessment team, and to provide input, contribute and support to IMB's culture, and the various initiatives and projects that enable automation and improvements in the commercial credit area.

Naturally, the successful person will have effective relationship and communication skills to be able to build trusted and cohesive working relationships both inside and outside of the business and work together to achieve mutual outcomes and provide great customer experiences. The main criteria for success includes:

• Comprehensive/complex lending/credit skills and experience in business/commercial lending
• Well-developed financial analysis skills, an understanding of financial statements and the ability to research, identify and evaluate potential risks and mitigate, and make decisions within Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) or escalate loans outside DLA with recommendation to a higher Credit authority
• Work with Business Bankers and Business Development Managers on deal scenarios and provide guidance on proposed transactions based on acceptable risk appetite
• Knowledge of all laws and regulations governing the provision of loans in Australia
• A passionate advocate of change and continuous improvement to benefit all
• Experience/knowledge of digital lending platforms would be beneficial
• An eye for detail and able to effectively manage and prioritise a pipeline of deals within agreed SLA's.
