The role:
The primary purpose of this role is to work with the CI Lead to develop capability in process improvement, systems integration, and manufacturing analytics, supporting the longer term transition into the CI Lead role. This role will progressively take on responsibilities in line commissioning, BOM and route construction, and yield/waste analysis, with a strong focus on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Phase One Learning and Support:
• Shadow CI Lead in line commissioning activities
• Assist in constructing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routes in JDE
• Support data collection and analysis of yields, usage, and waste
• Participate in CI projects and root cause investigations
• Learn and apply reporting tools (Excel, Power BI etc)
• Attend training sessions on JDE and manufacturing systems
Phase Two Ownership and Implementation:
• Lead CI initiatives across manufacturing lines
• Independently construct and maintain BOMs and Routes in JDE
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
• Train operators and team leaders on new processes and systems
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Ignition and Excel
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process inefficiencies
Qualifications required:
• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
• Entry-level to experienced candidates welcome
• Prior exposure to manufacturing environments preferred
• CI/Lean Six Sigma training (desirable but not essential)
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
• Familiarity with JDE or similar ERP systems
• Exposure to Ignition or other SCADA/data platforms (preferred)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles
• Excellent communication and training ability
• Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques
Systems and tools:
• JDE (JD Edwards): For BOM and route construction, cost tracking, and inventory management
• Excel: For data analysis, reporting, and yield/waste tracking
• Ignition:
• - SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition): Centralized data acquisition, alarming, and database storage
• - MES (Manufacturing Execution System): Real-time production tracking, process control, and performance monitoring
• Root Cause Analysis Tools: For structured problem-solving and continuous improvement
