About the job

The Enquiries Coordinator plays a vital role within SA Water Growth External Enquiries team, ensuring enquiries are efficiently managed from start to finish. This role is responsible for receiving, assessing, prioritising and distributing incoming requests, maintaining accurate records, and tracking progress to deliver timely and high-quality outcomes.

The Enquiries Coordinator ensures compliance with all corporate and legislative requirements, while proactively monitoring workloads and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Success in this role relies on building strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, contributing positively to team performance, and supporting SA Water's commitment to responsive and customer-focused service delivery.

The ideal person for the Enquiries Coordinator role is organised, detail-orientated, and confident in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. They bring strong administrative and coordination skills, with the ability to assess, track and distribute enquiries efficiently while maintaining accuracy and compliance. A natural collaborator, they build trusted relationships across teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders and customer to achieve shared outcomes.

This person is proactive in identifying process improvements, adaptable to changing demands, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Their professionalism, accountability, and positive team approach enable them to contribute effectively to SA Water's high-performance culture.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

You will:

  • Receive, assess, prioritise and efficiently distribute incoming requests from all stakeholders.
  • Makes informed autonomous decisions to ensure all enquiries are effectively managed end-to-end.
  • Log all enquiries received into established platform.
  • Assist with the management of outstanding/backlog enquiries.
  • Monitor work volumes to ensure enquiry processing times are kept within customer / service levels.
  • Seek opportunities to continuously improve workflow through identifying process inconsistences and proactively propose solution options.

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • High level organisation skills with a clear understanding of work planning, including prioritisation, review and follow-up.
  • High level computer, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to escalate enquiries when there is a potential of the deadline being missed.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of water supply and wastewater systems, connections and operations.
