The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Full-Time Sales Representative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for sales and a strong understanding of the pump, irrigation and plumbing industry (or a willingness to learn). This is a newly created role, offering the successful candidate the exciting opportunity to mould and shape the position as we embark on our next stage of growth. You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with our valued clients, driving sales growth, and contributing to the exciting next chapter of Downs Water Warehouse's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the region.
  • Emphasise our commitment to personal customer service in all client interactions.
  • Generate new leads and identify potential clients and sales opportunities.
  • Provide product information, technical support and quotations to clients.
  • Understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions, highlighting our reliable supply chain and strong brand alliances.
  • Follow up on leads and close sales effectively.
  • Collaborate with our internal team to ensure excellent customer service and timely delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a sales role (preferably within the construction, pumps and irrigation, plumbing or agricultural industries)
  • Preferably be technically sound with irrigation, pump and filtration products
  • A strong dedication to providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with an understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and achieving sales targets
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
  • Existing connections and relationships within the region and within the plumbing, pumps, irrigation and agricultural industry will be looked upon favourably
  • Familiarity with the Toowoomba and surrounding areas is an advantage
