About the Role

Casual Position, hours available vary depending on availability (minimum 2hrs- 20hrs+). Mainly before and after school hours including some evenings and weekends. Please consider this prior to applying.

As a Support Worker, you'll walk alongside children and young people with disabilities to help them achieve their goals and build confidence, connection, and independence. You'll work in homes, the community, and at times in-centre, providing personal care, emotional support, and active skill-building opportunities.

You'll also help mentor junior team members, model trauma-informed and person-centred practices, and be a trusted face to families. This role is suited to someone passionate, reliable, and confident in supporting children with high or complex needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, inclusive support to children with additional needs.
  • Assist with personal care, behaviour support, and communication needs
  • Follow therapy goals and support plans in everyday environments
  • Mentor junior staff and role model best practices
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with families and allied health professionals
  • Complete clear and timely progress notes, shift reports, and incident documentation
  • Foster participant independence, engagement, and community access
  • Work collaboratively while also operating confidently without direct supervision

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a support role (children with disability preferred)
  • Cert III or higher in Disability, Early Childhood, Youth Work, or similar – or significant lived experience
  • Valid Blue Card (Working with Children) – No Card, No Start
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid & CPR (childcare setting preferred)
  • Valid Open Driver's Licence and roadworthy vehicle with insurance
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to complete)
  • PEG feeding, manual handling, epilepsy and infection control training
  • Experience and/or credentials with behaviour support
  • Strong communication skills and professional integrity
