Cleveland, Queensland, Australia Sirv Group – Nick Bartram Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Sirv is seeking a dedicated and organised Team Leader to join our high-intensity complex care and mental health support team. This hybrid role combines administrative leadership, rostering coordination, and frontline care delivery. You'll play a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting staff performance, and maintaining high-quality participant outcomes in line with Sirv's values and NDIS Practice Standards.

This is a temporary position for 6 months upon commencement with possibility of extension and conversion to full-time.

The position currently offers a minimum of 15 hours of administration support per week across Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (5 hours per day) (alternative days will be considered upon request of the right applicant), with additional hours often available providing direct care shifts, so flexibility and availability for shift work (including evenings, weekends, and public holidays) is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain rosters to ensure consistent coverage and continuity of care.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to frontline support workers.
  • Deliver direct supports to participants with high-intensity and complex needs when required.
  • Manage communication between staff, participants, families, and management.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff training coordination.
  • Monitor incident reporting, risk management, and compliance documentation.
  • Support scheduling, payroll preparation, and service delivery tracking through internal systems.
  • Foster a positive, person-centred, and trauma-informed team culture.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in a leadership, rostering, or coordination role within disability, community, or healthcare.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Community Services, Mental Health, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and availability to complete direct care shifts, including sleepovers or weekends if required.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Blue Card, First Aid & CPR, and Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain before commencement).
  • Valid driver licence and reliable transport.

Desirable

  • Experience with rostering systems (e.g., Employment Hero, ShiftCare, Connecteam, Nightingale Companion).
  • Previous experience supporting participants with complex behaviour or mental health needs.
  • Supervisory experience in high-intensity support environments.

What Sirv Offers

  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative, values-driven culture.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Opportunities for additional hours as the service expands.
  • A role with purpose—empowering people with complex needs to live safely, independently, and meaningfully.
