Help Patients Understand Their Options – Support Revenue and Care

Join the Revenue Services team at Princess Alexandra Hospital and play a key role in supporting fee-paying patient processes, revenue initiatives, and staff education. This frontline liaison role combines patient interaction, financial accuracy and system expertise in a dynamic hospital environment

About your role

As a Patient Option Liaison Officer, you will provide coordinated, customer-focused support to patients and staff while ensuring accurate classification, documentation and revenue capture processes across the hospital.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver customer-focused liaison and option management services.
  • Source, enter and report on patient data to ensure correct cost attribution.
  • Review admissions and follow up potential fee-paying patients daily.
  • Ensure patients are correctly presented with classification options under the Health Insurance Act.
  • Liaise with clinicians, ward staff and health funds to complete required documentation.
  • Provide education and training to staff on revenue processes and patient elections.

About you

You are a customer-focused communicator with strong problem-solving abilities, confidence working with financial and clinical systems, and the ability to guide others through complex processes.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
