Step into a pivotal leadership role within our Global Technology Services (GTS) Data Centre and Mainframe team, part of ES Technology. As Executive Manager, you'll report directly to the General Manager for Data Centre and Specialised Compute, and lead a team that powers infrastructure operations, change, and transformation across the entire CBA Group, including Bankwest.

Our footprint spans Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and includes global partnerships in India and Malaysia. You'll be joining a high-performing, collaborative environment where your expertise will shape the future of mainframe services.

What You'll Be Doing

We're Interested in hearing from people who:

Are seasoned Mainframe leaders with extensive hands-on expertise in IBM z technologies, with a passion for developing high-performing teams.

• Bring strong expertise of both traditional and modern IBM tooling, including z/OSCICS, DB2, MQ, RACF, TSO, ISPF, JCL, REXX, z/OSMF and ISV tools.
• Are comfortable with z peripherals including SAN, storage arrays, virtual tape, and non-z technologies such as Windows and Linux.
• Have experience in API enablement, zCX (z/OS Container Extensions and Platform), and cloud integration, ready to bridge legacy systems with future-ready solutions.
• Lead with a blend of technical depth and people-first leadership, empowering teams and championing innovation.
• Understand enterprise data standards, supplier management, application modernisation, reference architecture, and performance optimisation at the application layer.
• Are skilled in managing large vendor relationships and contract negotiations
• Advocate for DevSecOps and engineering excellence, and are excited by the possibilities of responsible AI adoption across platforms and pipelines.
