As a Product Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and refining our product range. You'll collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure our products are not only innovative and functional but also manufacturable and market ready.

This is a hands on role where your engineering expertise, CAD proficiency, and eye for design will directly influence the success of our products. We are wanting the right candidate and am flexible for the successful applicant to work Full Time or Part Time, specifically a 9 day fortnight or 4 day working week could be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Create technical drawings, prototypes, and new product features in collaboration with external designers.
  • Testing & Analysis: Conduct rigorous product testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with standards like BIFMA and AFRDI.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, procurement, and production teams to bring concepts to life.
  • Technical Expertise: Research new materials and technologies, create 3D models and renders, and prepare detailed specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate product documentation, manage BOMs and PCNs, and support internal teams with training and resources.

About You

  • 6–7+ years of experience in furniture product engineering
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your technical and design capabilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in industrial design, furniture design, interior design, or a related field
  • Proficient in CAD software – especially Fusion 360
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • A team player with a creative mindset and a solutions-focused approach
  • Up to date with the latest trends in furniture design and consumer preferences
