This is a standalone role offering you the autonomy to make a real impact while being part of a collaborative, supportive and energetic team.

The Role
As our HR Business Partner you will provide expert HR guidance across the business, supporting everyone from team members to senior leaders including the CEO. Your focus will be on fostering a high-performing, inclusive and engaging workplace culture. You will play a pivotal role in attracting, developing and retaining top talent, coaching leaders and embedding values and behaviours that drive our long-term success.
This is a hands-on, strategic role where you can truly make a difference. You will need to be approachable, confident and comfortable influencing at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Partner with our TA Specialist on end-to-end recruitment to secure top-quality talent aligned with our business needs
- Draft and review position descriptions and advertise vacancies through relevant channels, networks and industry connections
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews and guide leaders through selection decisions
- Lead and enhance onboarding programmes to ensure new team members feel welcomed, supported and empowered to succeed
- Design and manage our Internship Programme, building future talent pipelines in collaboration with schools, universities and industry partners
Performance, Capability & Development
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support growth and operational success
- Maintain performance management frameworks to drive accountability, growth and engagement
- Identify learning and development needs and design, source or deliver programmes to build capability and leadership skills
- Coach and mentor leaders in people management practices, providing guidance on performance reviews, development plans and succession planning
Employee Relations & HR Compliance
- Provide timely, accurate and legally compliant advice on HR matters including grievances, disputes and disciplinary processes
- Maintain policies and procedures in line with legislation, industry standards and best practice
- Oversee WHS matters, workplace investigations and payroll compliance
- Support immigration and remuneration processes including benchmarking and salary reviews
Culture & Engagement
- Champion initiatives that build a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture
- Lead employee engagement, wellbeing programmes, recognition initiatives and company events
- Analyse engagement data and recommend actionable strategies for improvement
- Partner with leadership to implement change management, diversity and inclusion programmes
HR Operations & Cross-Functional Support
- Maintain HR systems, accurate employee records and HR reporting
- Ensure pay equity, market competitiveness and efficient HR administration
- Collaborate across teams to support initiatives, contribute ideas and drive continuous improvement

- Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum five years' experience in a similar HR role ideally in a standalone capacity
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent in HR, business management or organisational development
- Experience in technical, engineering or geospatial industries is highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of HR best practice, employment legislation and compliance frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, reporting and Microsoft Office Suite
- High levels of discretion, integrity and professionalism
