About the role:

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Warranty Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing and validating warranty claims, ensuring compliance with Camec's warranty program, and coordinating product returns, repairs, and exchanges. You'll work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to investigate claims, recover costs, and support continuous improvement through warranty data analysis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in technical service or warranty support, preferably within the caravan, automotive, or manufacturing industries. Strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively are key. This position is based out of our Noble Park office.

The key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Validate and investigate all warranty claims.
  • Submit claims to the National Customer Care Supervisor for approval.
  • Attend to incoming calls via the warranty queue system.
  • Responsible for interfacing with customer warranty systems and databases to acquire failure information.
  • Handling general claims enquiries from dealer, repairers & customers.
  • Provide support information to QA for analysis of products.
  • Using problem solving methods to finalize investigation reports for internal and external customers in required format.
  • Ensure all data is entered into warranty database for the collection of part analysis data.
  • Support & ensure all administrations duties including but not limited to processing and logging repair invoices and forwarded the relevant parties for payment.
  • Translate & produce reports/spreadsheets on claims/payment issues/queries on request.
  • Finalising warranties through recouping funds from suppliers where applicable.
  • Provide support, to warranty team members to assist them in achieving goals and objectives,
  • Analyse warranty data to identify recurring product issues, trends, and potential design/manufacturing improvements.
  • Ensure warranty handling complies with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and Camec's warranty policy.

About You:

You're an experienced warranty or technical support professional with 3+ years in a similar role, ideally within the caravan, automotive, marine, or manufacturing industries. You bring strong mechanical or electrical knowledge, with the ability to investigate and validate claims accurately and efficiently. You're confident navigating warranty systems and databases, understand Australian Consumer Law, and are comfortable working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Highly organised and detail-focused, you excel in communication, problem-solving, and managing competing priorities. You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a strong sense of accountability, professionalism, and customer focus to everything you do.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3–5 years in technical service, warranty, or product support role.
  • Technical knowledge of parts to verify proper documentation of repairs for warranty coverage and payment.
  • Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in caravan/RV, marine, automotive, or related manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of ACL warranty obligations and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience in interfacing with warranty systems and databases.
  • Knowledge of chassis systems and components preferred.
  • Understanding of after sales processes.
  • Ability to develop and foster crucial business relationships.
